Star Center Pediatric Day Health Care

As STAR Center Pediatric Day Health Care, our mission is to provide an array of services to meet the medical, social, and developmental needs of children from 3 up to 22 years of age who have complex medical conditions. We provide skilled nursing care in a day care setting. Our program is at no cost to our families. Our office hours are from 7:00a to 7:00p, Monday through Friday.

Initial Requirements

To qualify for our program, your children must require skilled nursing care during daytime hours. For example, feedings and/or medications via g-tube, seizure monitoring, oxygen therapy, etc. Your child must have a current TB test (within last 30 days) and physical prior to start date. You will receive forms to fill out to help our Administrative Team complete their initial assessment. A copy of your child’s doctors’ orders and current medication list is to be provided.

Transportation

We do not provide transportation. Transportation services may be arranged through Madera County Office of Education if your child is coming from school. Parents may complete pick-ups and drop-offs.

Benefits

There are many benefits to having your child attend our program. They will be in a safe and supportive environment where their medical and emotional needs will be cared for. This gives you time to work, run errands, rest, spend time with other family members, etc. It’s important for caregivers to take care of themselves!

Placement and Payment

OUR PROGRAM IS NOT COST TO FAMILIES! Services are funded through Medi-Cal billing. After initial assessment, your child will be allotted a number of hours per month for your child to attend. Placement may be completed through Central Valley Regional Center and/or Madera County Office of Education, but it is not required. You may also call us directly!
